Get your pick of fresh, local foods every Saturday, from 9am 'til noon, beside the Oxdrift Hall.

They are also held alternate Thursday afternoons, from 3-6pm at the Arena Parking lot. Dates include: August 19, September 2, 16, 30.

Hunter Education-PAL course
August 27th through September 10th in Dryden

The next one-stop PAL and hunter education course will take place August 27th and 28th. Another will follow September 10th and 11th. These are the last offered before hunting season!

This course is for new hunters wishing to get their hunting license, and anyone needing their federal Possession-Acquisition License.

Hockey ages start at 4 years and go to 18 years

The submission for a grant from Pepsi Refresh Everything has been accepted - but now we need as many votes as possible! Please go to refresheverything.ca/scpnshelter, register, and vote. You can vote for SCPN once a day if you are a Canadian resident and 13 years of age or older. Rules and regulations are on the website.

Dryden Moose Darts League Registration
September 9th in Dryden

2010 Dryden Moose Dart League Registration Night and Fun Shoot will be held on Thursday, September 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Moose Hall.

The Dryden Moose Dart League will start play in September with the Ladies League on Tuesday the 14th, the Men’s League on Wednesday the 15th and the Mixed League on Thursday the 16th. New Players are welcome.

An Executive Meeting (Old and New) will also be held on September 9th at 6:30 p.m. prior to the registration/fun shoot. For more information please contact Ron Gallaway at 937-2192.

Would you like to know more about Scottish Country Dancing? A short beginner’s class will be held Saturday, September 11 from 9:30 to 10:00 AM at Our Saviour Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 175 Cecil Avenue,Dryden, back entrance. Try out some steps and simple dance formations or just come and observe. The only requirements are a pair of soft-soled shoes and a sense of rhythm!

Regular classes start Saturday, September 11 and are held each Saturday morning 10:00–12 noon and Monday evening 7:00–9:00. Enjoy a fun form of exercise accompanied by energizing music while learning dances such as jigs and reels. (Scottish country dancing is NOT highland dancing).

Come and visit Ontario Power Generation’s Atikokan Generating Station for a 25th Anniversary Open House on Saturday, September 11th, from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. Station tours, historic photos, displays, entertainment and refreshments. Big Idea MINIATURE Art exhibition is the third annual art competition presented by The Dryden Artists Association (TDAA), at The Centre, Dryden, October 25 to 29. Dryden Palliative Care Volunteer Program
December 31st in Dryden

The Dryden Palliative Care Volunteer Program is urgently in need of volunteers in the community.

Volunteers visit clients in their homes, nursing home, and the hospital. Volunteers play an important role in providing support services for the client and family, companionship, relief for caregivers, transportation to appointments, friendly visits, and end-of-life care.

Training will be provided.
