Verna Mae Anton

Died: October 22, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta
In loving memory of Verna Mae Anton, age 78, who passed away on October 22, 2017 in Calgary, Alberta; her home of many years. Cremation has taken place. No Service will be held but should you wish to honor her memory please donate to any charity of your choice, some of her favorites were SPCA, Veterans and Shriners.
She will be sadly missed by her son William Gerula, her two grandchildren Jesse and Taylor, with one great granddaughter all of Dryden, Ontario, as well as surviving brothers and sisters; Eric Anton of Edmonton AB, Allen Anton of Innisfail AB, Geraldine McCuaig of Balfour BC, Margaret Hawrysh of Selkirk MB, Laura Holmes of Thunder Bay, ON and Dale Labelle of Seattle, WA as well as Marsha Bolingbroke, deceased, Faye McArthur, deceased and William Anton, deceased.
Verna raised her children in Dryden (Billy Gerula, Tammy Gerula, deceased and Frank Gerula, deceased) and worked at the Thunder Bird Hotel for many years; when it burnt down she made her way out west. She enjoyed working at the Blackfoot Inn in Calgary where all of her Stampede friends looked forward to seeing her every year, finally retiring at the age of 75. She had wonderful friends, clients & family and she will be truly missed by all, for her tenacity, honesty, forthrightness, service and loyalty.
