A heartbreaking loss for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs against the top team in the SIJHL.
The Thief River Falls Norskies erased a 2-0 deficit and scored all of their goals on the powerplay in a 3-2 overtime win over the Ice Dogs Sunday.
Dryden’s Burke Johnstone took a questionable penalty with 51-seconds left in regulation to give the Norskies the man advantage.
Alex Severson would go on to win the game in extra time with his second goal in his first game with Thief River Falls.
Jacen Bracko and Brendan Jay scored for Dryden GM.
The Ice Dogs picked up three points on their three day Minnesota trip and they return to home ice Wednesday night against Fort Frances.
