It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Richard Giesbrecht, age 78 years on Saturday, September 23rd in the Dryden Regional Health Center.
Richard was born August 30, 1939 in Kenora.
He was predeceased by his wife Brenda, parents Peter and Yvonne Giesbrecht and his two brothers Bob & Bill Giesbrecht.
He leaves to mourn his passing his son Terry Giesbrecht of Ear Falls, daughters: Karen (David) Hazelwood of Squamish, British Columbia, Tracy Giesbrecht of Regina, Saskatchewan, and Shelly (Tom) Stelter of Weyburn, Saskatchewan and his sister Christine Wagenaar of Maple Ridge, British Columbia. He also has 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild as well as 10 nieces and nephews who will greatly miss him as well.
Richard had many, many friends and he was always offering to lend a hand to anyone in need. Richard will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
The family would like to give a tremendous thank you to Lynn MacDonald, the staff of the Dryden Regional Health Center for all the time, effort and care that was given to Richard and our family as words cannot express how thankful we truly are.
A Memorial Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Richard Giesbrecht will be held Wednesday, September 27th at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Jake Letkeman officiating.
Interment of ashes will take place in the Dryden Cemetery at a later date.
