The Federal Government is expected to vote Monday night on the Conservative’s plan to extend its military campaign in Iraq for up to one year and move into airstrikes in Syria.
Green Party Deputy Leader Bruce Hyer says he’s voting no because he feels the Prime Minister is rubber stamping U.S. policy and we are not wanted in Syria.
Hyer says he’s received over 200 emails and 14 calls from his constituents with most supporting a time-limited mission in Iraq only.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford has stressed extending the mission is something Canada has to do.
