It’s federal budget day and Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty is calling it an election budget.
The NDP member says there will be more money for security but nothing for seniors who really need the help.
While the budget is expected to be balanced, Rafferty says the government has been adding $160-billion to the debt.
Rafferty says there are reports the budget may include changes to mandatory withdrawal rules from Registered Retirement Income Fund, something he is pushing.
He is also hoping it contains some solid substantial help for veterans.
