The federal government has helped make Webequie First Nation more accessible.
Kenora MP Bob Nault flew into the remote community Thursday and announced $439,875 to help improve visitor accommodations.
The funding will allow the First Nation to purchase and install seven new mobile trailers.
The trailers will be used to house visiting tourists and workers.
Nault says it means 49 additional rooms will be made available through the Webequie Contractors Lodging company.
