Kenora MP Bob Nault is welcoming the Cabinet shake-up.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a number of changes Wednesday in preparation for the 2019 election.
Nault says he applauds a decision to create two new ministries focusing on seniors and border security, noting both are important to northerners.
He says the shuffle brings fresh insight and the opportunity to serve Canadians even better and he looks forward to working with each Minister to represent the interests of northwestern Ontario.
In all, 11 ministers either changed jobs or were added to Cabinet, increasing the size of the ministry from 30 to 35, including the Prime Minister.
Today’s shuffle has seen a number of my very capable colleagues take on new roles. I applaud PM @JustinTrudeau‘s decision to create the Min. of Seniors & the Min of Border Security & Organized Crime, both of which will be led by very competent individuals. https://t.co/hl1OInyNmy pic.twitter.com/fFF8MmfOxF
