The man at the centre of the on-going mercury contamination saga in the English-Wabigoon River System is leaving politics.
Glen Murray is stepping down as Ontario Environment and Climate Change Minister.
Murray had been tasked with working with scientists and Grassy Narrows First Nation to identify mercury contamination and has been very vocal with Domtar and demands to take action.
He will take over as Executive Director for the Pembina Institute in September.
The Institute is a think tank with a focus on Energy.
Housing Minister Chris Ballard will move to the Environment portfolio.
Peter Milczyn becomes the new Housing Minister and Minister responsible for the Poverty Reduction Strategy.
