The federal government says it's working with Cat Lake First Nation to address what's been called a housing crisis.
Minister of Indigenous Services Seamus O'Regan says it was agreed at a meeting on Thursday that the ministry will speed up the delivery of materials needed for home repairs and new housing.
It will also immediately start on the most urgent repairs, including removing mould.
The feds also agreed to provide the community with medical help like more nursing staff and repairs to the nursing station.
He says they've scheduled a third meeting in Thunder Bay in the coming days, with Cat Lake leadership and other officials.
