A ‘Fairytale’ truly came true for the Dryden Kinsmen, as another successful Santa Claus parade is in the books.
Ryan Graham and Brad Coles were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Monday and stated more than 30-floats embraced the 2016 theme to treat local revellers last Friday night.
Graham calls it one of the best parades he’s been involved in because of the spirit of the community and the mild conditions they were treated to.
Coles stressed they couldn’t run this event without the support of individuals and businesses and thanked the Amateur Radio Society of Dryden, Peters Trucking and Gardewine, Dryden Police, OPP and everyone who took part in some way.
They also announced the top floats for 2016:
1. Family or Neighbourhood: Bedard/Wigle Family “Santa’s Reindeer & Elves
2. Organization or Community Group: DREAM Committee “DREAM Outdoor Rink
3. School/Class: New Prospect School “Shrek the Halls”
4. Business Less Than 10 Employees: Northern Dental Clinic “Happily Ever After”
5. Business Less 10-50 Employees: Timbermax “Hansel and Gretel”
6. Business More Than 50: Domtar “Can Eh!dian FairytEh!L”
