A new safer pier, dock and boat launch is now in place in Pickle Lake thanks to federal government funding.
Kenora MP Bob Nault attended a ribbon cutting ceremony in the community Wednesday.
The Liberals invested more than $31,000 under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.
Some of the money also went towards installing a retaining wall to address flooding issues.
Nault says his government is pleased to support this project as it ensures Pickle Lake and area residents have safe and easy access to recreational activities at the Kapkichi Lake Waterfront.
