College and University students are now starting to return to their home communities and a major entry point is the Thunder Bay Airport.
Airport President Ed Schmidtke says traditionally things really get hopping on December 15th.
It also marks the start of holiday travel season and Schmidtke offers some advise.
He suggests that you to arrive an hour or more before your flight leaves.
Schmidtke recommends that you pack all of your gifts as airport security has the right to unwrap them at screening.
He adds another important reminder is staying in touch with your carrier to ensure your flight arrives or departs on time.
Schmidtke says flights are now at 100% capacity and he says terminal renovations have been made to make the travel experience less stressful.
