An Ignace mother has been convicted of manslaughter in the death of her baby boy.
Two-month-old Joseph Gaskin died in July 1999.
Assistant Crown Attorney Mary Anne Mousseau says the jury convicted Jennifer Gaskin in Kenora Court on Monday.
During the trial, Mousseau says the court heard evidence that Joseph Gaskin died after he was physically shaken.
According to the Crown, an autospy revealed several injuries including a blood clot on top of his brain and a damaged spinal chord.
Jennifer Gaskin will be sentenced on June 27th.
