The Sunset Country Travel Association is predicting a strong Summer for tourism in northwestern Ontario.
Executive Director Gerry Cariou says tourist outfitters are reporting strong bookings.
Cariou says tourist camp bookings seem to be up over last year, which was also a pretty good year for tourism in the region.
He notes everyone is positive as last year this region saw a 7%-10% increase in American visitors.
Cariou believes that number will jump another 10% this Summer.
Cariou is also expecting more visitors from Canada, especially Manitoba, as more people stay home due to the low Canadian dollar.
