The provincial government is forming an emergency task force to deal with the rise in opioid overdoses in Ontario.
The group would include front line workers, reps from mental health and addiction services and others.
Health Minister Eric Hoskins says the task force will offer a voice to those most impacted, and advice government on appropriate awareness campaigns.
The province is also providing Health Units with up-to-date materials to ensure everyone is receiving the same information about opioid’s and their risks.
