A 30 degree swing in temperatures in the Dryden area in the last day and a half.
A frigid Arctic Air mass has descended on much of northwestern Ontario with an extreme cold weather warning put in place by Environment Canada.
Bill Laidlaw from Signal Weather Services says things should start to improve next week.
Laidlaw says the Polar Vortex should push out of our region by the middle of the week, when temperatures start to rebound to seasonal and possibly above-seasonal levels.
Laidlaw says in the meantime we'll have to endure wind chills in the -40 range over the next couple of days.
