The decades since the Battle of Vimy Ridge have slipped by, but the legacy of the Canadians who accomplished so much in that important First World War battle lives on.
The Royal Canadian Legion will recognize the bravery and sacrifice of soldiers at a Vimy Ridge banquet next Wednesday.
Brian Buffett says it was a major event in our military and political history and there’s much to be honoured, revered and remembered.
The evening starts with a social hour at 5:00pm and supper at 6:00pm.
The event is open to the public and tickets are available at the Legion and Lotto One. ($15 for Legion members and partners. $18 for the public)
Buffett says they will also take time to recognize Legion members at the ceremony.
