Dryden Council has approved the 2015 capital budget, however there will be a couple of changes in the final plan.
The budget this year is a slim one with only $3.3-million of work planned.
Documents show $1.4-million will be covered by grants.
Approved projects include needed repairs to the roof of the Dryden Police Detachment, upgrades on Van Horne Avenue and Van Horne Landing, a new plow truck and sander truck for Public Works and storm sewer upgrades on Earl Avenue.
There’s plenty of activity at the airport with nearly $635,000 set aside.
Outside funding has been made available for the purchase of a front-end loader and a mobile snowblower.
The budget also contains $30,000 for a curling sheet conversion for Rink #2.
There are still a couple of changes at the Arena that will come to Council at a later date.
