First Nations in Northwestern Ontario are still trying to send a message of healing and reconciliation.
The Nishnawbe-Aski Nation held its annual Orange Shirt walk in Thunder Bay today (Tuesday) to commemorate the victims of residential schools.
Deputy Grand Chief Alvin Fiddler says the walk helps promote awareness.
Fiddler says they can’t let the issue fall on deaf ears.
Fiddler stresses the issue should be discussed at all regional schools.
