Eagle Lake's Kayla Gardner says she is anxious to join the Calgary Inferno of the Canadian Women's Hockey League.
Gardner was drafted in the 5th round and she has talked to the team manager.
Gardner says she was updated on how things work with the team, the schedule and how travel days work.
However, she says she doesn't know what role she will play right now.
Training camp is scheduled for later this month.
Gardner says she and her family were excited when they heard the news, noting she's happy to see her hard work pay off.
She will be moving in with her sister, who already lives in Calgary.
Gardner has spent the past four years at the University of North Dakota, where she amassed 32-points.
