A record breaking day for Kadin Taylor and the Dryden Eagles High School Football team.
Taylor set a new team record with four sacks and the Eagles defence recorded a total of seven sacks in a 29-10 win over the visiting River East Kodiaks Friday afternoon in a hard fought game.
Taylor also changed the pulse of the game when he blocked a punt in the third quarter near midfield and watched as Bailey Murrell rumbled all the way in for a touchdown.
That put Dryden up 22-10.
Thomas Moline also blocked a punt and recorded an interception.
The Eagles special teams was the story of the game as they forced two fumbles on Kodiak punt returns.
Xavier Korzinski also thrilled the hometown crowd with an electrifying kick return that started in his own end zone.
Offensively, the Eagles were led by the leading rusher in the league Jarett Hicks who recorded touchdown runs of 45-yards and 10-yards.
Mason Desautels iced the game late with a 10-yard major.
The win moves the Dryden Eagles to 5-0 and sets up a first place showdown next Friday against the Kelvin Clippers.
