In loving memory of Irene Taylor, who died on Thursday, September 2nd with her family at her side.
Irene is survived by her daughter Terri Parenteau of Winnipeg, sons Rob of Thunder Bay and Ron of Dryden, by 6 grandchildren and brothers Hughie and Don Nicholson.
A memorial funeral service to celebrate the life of Irene Taylor will be held Tuesday, September 7th at 2:00 p.m. in First United Church with Rev. Eric Matheson officiating.
Interment of ashes will take place in the Dryden Cemetery at a later date.

Grace PollockIn loving memory of Grace Pollock, age 94 years, who passed away peacefully in the Princess Court Long Term Care Home on Wednesday September 1st.
Grace is survived by her daughter Evelyn Anderson of Winnipeg, sons Bill (Donna) of Dryden, Bob (Brenda) of Lundbreck, Alta., and Patrick (Loretta) of Vermilion Bay, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Grace is also survived by one brother Ross Gifford of Outlook Sask., sisters-in-law Angie Gifford and May Gifford of Surrey, B.C., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her very good friend Astrid Allen.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 4th at 1:00 p.m. in Vermilion Bay First United Church with Alice Bloomfield officiating. Interment will take place in the Vermilion Bay Cemetery.

In loving memory of Alice Theresa Bancroft, age 79, who passed away on August 25th at the Meno Ya Win Health Centre - 5th Avenue Site.

Alice Bancroft is survived by her children, Linda, Larry, Debbie, Barry and Allan and her special extended children, Georgie, Danny and Gordie. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service for the late Alice Bancroft will be held at the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home on Monday August 30th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon Douglas Creig officiating. Interment of ashes to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mary PetersonIn loving memory of Alma Maria “Mary” Peterson, age 90 of Dryden, who passed away on Monday August 23rd, 2010 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.

“Mary” is survived by her children: Dennis (Mary) of Eagle River, Karen (Bob) Nelson of Dryden, Janet (Garry) Murdick of Eagle River, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband and 3 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 26th, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home’s Chapel.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August, 27th, 2010 at 2:00 pm. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Dryden with Pastor James Wood officiating.

Interment to follow.

Ruby is survived by her loving husband Dalton, children: Cecilia of Edmonton, Norman (Corrine) of Edmonton, Clara (Armand) Cimon of Dryden, step-children: Darrell (Angie) Rody of Edmonton, Victor Cripps of Hamilton, Laura Cripps of Eagle Lake, Richard Cripps of Toronto, Kenneth Cripps of Eagle Lake, Carol Kavanaugh of Eagle Lake, Hazel Cripps of Thunder Bay. She is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Dora Stephenson and son Larry Rody.

Visitation for Ruby Cripps will be held on Wednesday August 25, 2010 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home’s
Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 26th , 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home’s Chapel with Pastor Jake Letkeman officiating.

Paddy AndersonIn loving memory of Paddy Anderson who passed away at his residence on Monday, August 9th at the age of 82 with his family by his side.
Paddy is survived by his children Glenn (Delores) Anderson, Theresa (Albert) Jamieson, and Dustin (Rebecca) Anderson, by six grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. He is also survived by his brothers Bill (Vera) Anderson, and Nelson (Julie) Anderson.
He was predeceased by his parents Nels and Margaret, daughter Joy, and wife Jessie. A sacred fire to honor the life of Paddy will burn from August 10 to 14 at Paddy’s home. All are welcome to drop in. At Paddy’s request cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at the Snake Falls family plot. Kasmir HercunIn loving memory of Kasmir Hercun, age 84 of Dryden, who passed away on August 8th at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Kasmir Hercun is survived by his wife Elleonore, his children Len (Joanne) of Ear Falls, Tom of Dryden, Gerry (Laurie) of Fort Frances, Kathy Morton (Frank) and Lisa Potter (Dennis) of Dryden. He is also survived by a sister-in-law May, from St. Catherines, brothers Walter (Jenny) of Calgary and Victor (Rose) of Brandon and a sister Ann Brenner (Gerry) of Niagara on the Lake, his 10 beloved grand-children and 6 great grand-children.
Visitation for the late Kasmir Hercun will be held at Dryden Community Funeral Home on August 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services for the late Kasmir Hercun will be held on Wednesday, August 11th at 10:00 a. m. at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Dryden with Father Al Campeau officiating. Interment of ashes at a later date.

Hilda BorlangIn loving memory of Hilda Rose Borlang age 90 years who passed away on Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Rainycrest Home for the Aged with family by her side.
Hilda is survived by her children Kristene (Bill) Easton of Winnipeg, Linda McMahon of Winnipeg and David (Valerie) of Dryden by one sister Ida of Dauphin, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Hilda was predeceased by her husband Ivar in 1981, her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
At Hilda’s request there will be no service and cremation has taken place.
Interment of her ashes will be at a later date in Dauphin, Manitoba.

Bill CarenFollowing a courageous battle with cancer at his home on Sunday, August 1st, Bill Caren went to be with our Lord.

Bill Caren is survived by his children Lisa Alderman of Alberta, Dwayne Caren of Dryden and Samanthe McCarthy of Thunder Bay, by 6 grandchildren, his sisters: Maureen Hogan, Jackie Lalonde and Audrey Yaworski, and brother Ted Caren, all of Thunder Bay as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 5th at 2:00 p.m. in St. Luke's Anglican Church with the Venerable Patricia Cleghorn officiating. Interment of ashes will take place in Stanley Hill Cemetery in Thunder Bay.

A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Sylvia Wagar will be held Friday July 30th at 3:00 p.m. in Our Saviour Lutheran Church with Mr. Ralph Arndt officiating. Cremation will follow with interment of ashes to be held at a later date in the Dyment Mountainview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the time of service.
