Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service organized a toy drive in Pickle Lake, ensuring an unforgettable Christmas for the children of Mishkeegogamang First Nation.
Sr. Cst. Mel COLES and Cst. Amanda PAUL of Nishnawbe-Aski Police along with P/Cst. Josh DEBOCK and Auxiliary Tom LOCKWOOD of the Ontario Provincial Police Pickle Lake Detachment delivered between two and three thousand dollars worth of donated toys and delivered them to Tikanagan Child and Family Services of Mishkeegogamang where they were graciously accepted by Leslie MATHE, Supervisor of Child Care.
Dryden's Canadian Tire hands a cheque for $1,000 to the Newfoundland Mummers for Christmas Cheer Friday night (Dec 17). Mummers are a centuries old Newfoundland Christmas tradition, and they made a rare public appearance in support of Dryden's Christmas Cheer Board.

On Saturday December 18, just after 6pm Dryden Police, Paramedics, & Fire / Rescue Services were dispatched to the Duke St. & Whyte Ave. intersection for a three vehicle collision with injuries and possible entrapment. Fire / Rescue crews assisted Paramedics & Police with removing two occupants from vehicles & traffic control, with one passenger being transported to the DRHC with injuries. Dryden Police Service is investigating.
