Northern Lights Credit Union Dryden Branch recently donated $2,800 to the DRHC Ultrasound Fund; the funds were generated through the NLCU's ICARE Mastercard Program from member sales from 2010. NCLU staff Krista Ladoucer and Wendy Hadley presented the funds to Chuck Schmitt.
Sachigo Lake First Nation has donated 50 thousand dollars to the Meno Ya Win Health Centre CT Scanner Project. Chief Titus Tait presents a check to Stanley Sainnawap, First Nations Relations for Wasaya Group and CT Scanner Community Fundraising Liaison in support of the CT Scanner Project. (Feb 11)

Candace Glowa of Dryden is off and skiing at the Canada Winter Games in Halifax. It was Candace's first race of the week a 12.5K Biathalon.

Children's Delight Series in Dryden on Saturday, February 12th featured Splash N Boots proudly sponsored by CKDR. Lots of kids enjoyed the show at New Prospect School and some "older" kids to including CKDR Morning guy - Richard McCarthy caught goofing around after the show!!
Former DHS Eagle cheerleaders on the left and the 2010-2011 cheerleaders on the right (and DHS Principal McConnachie) during the Dryden Highschool SAVE Hockey Game Thursday night. Let's just say - they made a lot of noise!! On the ice, The Bald Eagles beat the current Eagle boys squad 7-4 in regulation and a final score of 8-7 after a team shootout. $450 with proceeds to the Oncology Unit at the Dryden Regional Health Centre and the Dryden Ice Dogs. You can see the Ice Dogs in the pink jerseys Friday night at 8:30, as they Pink the Rink against the Sioux Lookout Flyers.
