This pile of rubble is all that's left of the former Village Corner in Vermion Bay as a work crew demolished what remained (June 28). The vacant property will go up for sale soon, as the current owner has decided not to rebuild the once popular landmark.

The Village Corner in Vermilion Bay is levelled June 28 as a work crew cleans ups the remains left by a fire last Labor Day. The level area in the foreground is the old tile floor of the restaurant. The owner told CKDR news the vacant property will be for sale once the clean up is over.

The special guests opening for Aberdeen when the rock The Centre in Dryden on Friday, July 29th? Local band Sensible Demise - who had their serious faces on before the opening night of the Cooper Park Concert Series.
