Dryden fire fighters respond to a house fire on Taylor Street Thursday evening (Sept 13). No one was home at the time of the fire and the cause has not been determined.
The Light the Balls Diamond Committee continues to move forward with upgrades at the Sandy Beach Ball Diamond. Safety netting is now up and handicapped parking spaces and signs are now in place.

Tyler Marusyk, Reagan Breeze of the Dryden Fire Service and Atikokan firefighter Graham Warburton spent the night in Dryden before heading on their journey towards Thunder Bay to raise funds and awareness for muscular dystrophy.

Dryden firefighter Reagan Breeze bikes past CKDR as his 500+ kilometre journey in support of Muscular Dystrophy Canada continues.
Breeze is cycling with Atikokan firefighter Graham Warburton are raising money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy.
They are hoping to raise $5,000.

CKDR Morning guy Richard McCarthy was there to broadcast and let everyone know about the Open House for Second Chance Pet Network in Dryden on September 11th. He took a few moments to play with "Sugar" who was visiting from Kenora's "It's A Dog's Life". Sugar is available for adoption....we're not sure about Richard. The new shelter for Second Chance Pet Network in Dryden - under construction - the outer shell complete. It's big!! 54 feet wide and 100 feet long! The SCPN volunteers held an open house on Saturday, September 11th for all to see.
