The Dryden Eagles season has come to an end with a 6-2 loss at the All-Ontario Girls High School Finals in Midland.
The Eagles drew the number one ranked team in the province and the two time defending champion L'Escale from the Ottawa region.
Two goals in 22 seconds in the second period was the difference as Dryden couldn't recover.
However, the Eagles didn't give up and battled back, pressuring L'Esscale for the entire second half of the game.
Talia Marion and Hailee Lundmark scored for the Eagles.
Final shots were 37-28 in favour of the opposition.
The Eagles leave knowing their among the elite eight in Ontario.
The team will spend Thursday in Midland and will fly home on Friday morning.
