A long-time volunteer in Dryden has received well deserved recognition.
Dryden Dolphins Swim Team Head Coach Matt Taylor has received the Lea Bredschneider Award for Volunteer Coaches.
The award goes to a Canadian and Ontario swim team member who has been coaching for a provincial club for a minimum of 3-years.
Taylor was instrumental in launching the Dryden program and has been teaching and mentoring young swimmers for the past 13-years.
Team officials stress Taylor has put in so much time and effort to ensure that area swimmers compete at the highest level, while promoting lifelong fitness.
He won the award based on a vote by the Ontario Swimming Club Association Board of Directors.
