Constance Bush (April 24th, 1924 – May 7th, 2016)
It is with great sadness that the family of Constance (Connie) Bush announce her peaceful passing May 7th, 2016 in St. Albert, Alberta.
Connie is survived by her children Norm (Sarah) of Dryden, Frances Peterson (Doug) of Fort McMurray, AB. Ian (Carrie) of Ottawa, Joan Miller (Gord) of St. Albert, AB, Graham of Lethbridge, AB and Brian (Diane) of Quesnel, B.C. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great grand children. Mom was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) in 1989 and one grandson Scott, in 2011.
Connie, as she was known to her friends, was very family oriented. She often said that her children meant everything to her. She and Bill raised their family, for the most part, in the town of Dryden where Bill was the Mill Manager for Dryden Pulp and Paper Co. Mum was very involved in politics while living in Dryden. She also enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and having a good party. In 1972 the family moved to Quesnel, B.C. In her later years when she visited with Norm in Dryden, she looked forward to her favourite activity, fishing on Wabigoon Lake to catch Walleye. She would often stay out on the lake, even in inclement weather when most others had gone in to wait out the rain.
There will be no funeral as per Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A family memorial to celebrate her life will be held at a future date.
Friends wishing to make a donation in Connie’s memory may donate to the Dryden Regional Health Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
