In loving memory of Barbara Lola Pelletier nee Lefroy who passed away suddenly in her home in Ignace on Monday, January 22nd, 2018 at the age of 73.
Barbara is survived by her husband Real Pelletier, children Nancy McCord (Michael), Garnet Nesbitt-Roseborough (Keith) and Sandra White (Alonzo), 5 grandchildren, Sherri Mahar (Darryl), Tyler White, Ethan, Christopher and Donovan McCord, 2 great grandchildren, Madison Mahar and Morgan White, siblings Barry Lefroy (Leslie), George Lefroy and Laura Parliament-Lefroy (Ronald), numerous brother and sister in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, family and cats Buddy and Odie. Barbara was predeceased by her parents George and Frances Lefroy and sister Donna Worrall.
Barbara was born in Toronto on February 9th, 1944 and moved to Northwestern Ontario at the age of 16 years. She and Real were married on June 24th, 1977 in Thunder Bay. Over the years Barbara worked as a clerk in a dental office, cook at the Wayfare Restaurant, clerk at L&J Sound & Video and spent many hours making perogies with the Ignace Silver Tops. Although Barbara loved working with the public, her true passion was her family, friends and animals.
Barbara enjoyed listening to and singing Classic old country music, knitting, cleaning blueberries, playing uncompetitive card games, having her morning tea with friends, playing bingo, sudoku puzzles, caring for any animals who may have looked hungry, reading to her grandchildren and feeding them candy or any other sweets they desired.
A Memorial Funeral Service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held Friday, January 26th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Ignace with Val Guzzell officiating. Reception to follow at the Ignace Silver Tops.
There will be a private interment of ashes at a later date.
